Crossing Limits.

CROSSING LIMITS

Chasing thrill & excitement,
Crossing all safe limits,
Ignoring your advice,
Putting aside commonsense.

Now in the middle of night
In our car, badly smashed,
On a roadside, in pool of blood,
I wish
I was more careful on that turn.

It could have saved
Two innocent lives
And
Mine.

Wisdom
Now dawns
In last few moments…..

Pleasure of life is not in seeking
Thrill & excitement
Foolishly crossing limits,
It is in consciously working towards
Expanding limits.

I am sorry DAD.

No glorifying ICARUS.

Work hard and capable to withstand sun before you go closer.

Message is clear.

Last line 'I am sorry Dad' touched heart. Wonder what Icarus would have said.

a message to take home for everyone.. I've felt adrenaline rushing in my body once I start accelerating on my bike and then I put brakes before I go wild.

@ PremI,

Yes. I will want my children to be careful and not venture too near sun. It may hurt.

I will rather want them to work like Jonathan Livingston Seagull and reach new heights.

How can I glorify Icarus?

@Sandy : Can I request a prompt : Jonathan Livingston Seagull ?

Very well written.
It is only the darkest times which remind us of what we never paid heed to but should have.
